Curved Thread for edge creasing - S Serie - Regad
Made in France by Regad, a French manufacturer of electric tools since 1930 for manual finishing operations in leather goods.
This simple and flat tool will allow you to create fine decorative lines on your pieces of leather without being limited to the edges. It can also be used to warm up the edge dye, thus providing a hot finish, or to burn off the fibers that stick out from the edge of the leather after cutting (smoothing the edge).
The appearance of the pattern on the leather depends on several parameters, such as the tool temperature, the type of leather, and the speed at which the hot tool passes over the leather. We recommend always conducting tests on leather scraps to adjust the settings.
Usage recommendations: Regularly check that the heating tool is securely tightened onto the handle to prevent the occurrence of oxidation and to avoid creating an electrical fault between the tool and the handle.
The tips may darken more or less after a few uses. Residues from edge dye or other finishing products may also remain stuck to your tools. You can clean them by using polishing paste previously applied to a piece of leather and rubbing the warm tool (TH2 to 4) on it. In case of extreme soiling, extra fine steel wool (000) can be used. Be careful not to touch the electrical resistance part to avoid damaging it.
